HTC Sync Manager for Windows

Totally unreliable software!. This is a really horrible piece of software. Most of the time it just doesn't recognise my HTC phone. Very occasionally it will synch, but it is totally unreliable. Pros: The few occasions when it actually works! Cons: Reliability!

Sync manager is buggy and can prove difficult to use more often than not. . Absolutely horrible. The program is buggy and the interface is far from smooth and orderly which makes it difficult to get things done in an efficient manner. I've had plenty of problems with this program that simply shouldn't exist such as when the program cannot recognize the phone connected to it. I had to manually install the apk files onto the phone just to get it to pop up correctly.It could be good possibly but so far I'm not impressed. I'd rather manually plug whatever files I want into my phone than use this and sadly I have never had such issues when I was using iTunes to sync my phone data. Cons: Sync sometimes doesn't recognize the phone.Interface is basic.Easier to manually plug in files onto the phone itself than it is to sync it through this program

HTC Sync 3.0.5617 for Htc Evo 3D (SPRINT) | 01.31.2012. I just loaded the latest version of <taglink type=program country=en id=300491>HTC sync</taglink> software released on 1/31/12. I now get a PIM Error 2013 when syncing Outlook 2010 calendar with my HTC People. (It would be nice if at least there was a file with error codes and explanations)I also get replications of names on a random basis each time I attempt to sync. Extremely frustrating and there is no automated process for eliminating duplicates. Am I unique with this problem - there appears to be a trend since had similar problem with calendar syncs earlier today.

Letting the team down.. Come on guys, stop trying to fix what's not worth fixing! You manufacture some of the best phones in the world, but what should be a simple and user friendly app', is letting your company and your end users down. Scrap it and utilize one of the professional software developers out there who know what they're doing! Please, before you lose what you have worked so hard to build! I love my HTC Wildfire, but am considering trying another brand at my next update!

Horrible program which jeopardizes our calendar. HTC Sync causes random multiplication of recurring events in Microsoft Outlook. Although this problem was supposed to be solved in the program's newest release, this is not true since the problem is persisting. Also, the newest release does not provide with any tool to remove multiplied events. One has to do it manually and this is not much fun if to imagine that the events are being randomly spread all over your calendar in +50 copies per day. The program is not very intelligently designed. Although the new release announcements are coming to the computer's screen, new releases cannot be uploaded using the previous version's interface. One must manually uninstall the previous version and to upload a new one from the web site. BOTTOM LINE:This lousy reputation severely damages otherwise good name of HTC products. The HTC "help" is non-existent. They confirm their awareness about this problem but couldn't fix it. Pros: None Cons: Everything
